We found this place the last night of our stay in Albuquerque. Such a treat! My son got three scoops of different ice cream flavors with creative toppings and I got the sorbets with tangible chamoix. Yum!! We will return next time we are town. Creative desserts and great staff!!

These milkshakes are amazing! I love that they’re decorated in such fun ways. They live up to the store name! The space inside is spacious and clean, and it’s a fun environment to enjoy sweet treats, even when it’s cold out. The woman helping us was so friendly and offered good suggestions on what’s most popular.

I was really excited to try this place after reading the reviews. The only problem is I wish I had known five years ago when they opened! What a treat this spot is!
First, the selection is great and you can pretty much create whatever you want either with a milkshake or a cup. There are lots of items on the menu and they are all customizable.
I opted to get the marzipan milkshake and for my companions I ordered strawberry shortcake and Snickers milkshakes. We basically sat around looking at each other going “Yum! MMMMM, fantastic, tasty,” etc. These milkshakes are nice and thick but also blended well enough, even with the mix-ins, to be able to suck them through a straw, which is quite a feat in and of itself. All three shakes were tasty and true to the name. My marzipan milkshake had a large chunk of marzipan in the bottom along with a piroline stick in it! Delicious!!! My dad really enjoyed the Snickers milkshake and was pleasantly surprised when he found a snickers in the bottom of his drink cup. mom had the strawberry shortcake and enjoyed the strawberry wafer sticking out the top along with the fresh strawberries tucked into the milkshake. All in all this was a huge hit with my family!
Anna, the owner, is super friendly and willing to talk to you about all things related to the wonderful cups and milkshakes that she makes. She’s also a local who knows the area and people well, as evidenced by her unique and tasty treats.
The shop itself is totally cute! It’s decorations and paintings are cheery, bright, and fun!
The parking… Sucks. It’s just the nature of the way the strip mall is set up. If you go when they first open it’s not too busy and easy to get in and out but you may have some parking issues if you go during a busy time. Not much that can be done about that but it’s absolutely worth negotiating the awful parking to get to Crazy Bomb Cups.
I can’t say enough about the great food, inviting shop, and the owner. Again, this is a locally owned business by one of our own so please get out there and support her! She also has a location on the west side in addition to the Albuquerque location.
This would be a perfect spot for a special occasion, splurge, or just because you happen to be driving by. Please go check it out!

I stopped in for a quick treat at crazy bombs. They have two locations and the San Mateo location is a bit closer for me! Cindy was happy to serve up a sweet treat and I ordered the banana split milk shake. This was my first time there and she was happy to walk me through the ordering process. This is a great spot for sundaes, sorbet, ice cream, and milkshakes! There were so many toppings to choose from but I just stuck with the classic banana split. What a wonderful hidden gem in ABQ and I would highly recommend you stop in at the end of your day! Parking can be tough but there are plenty of spots near the Starbucks and it’s right next door!
